KOSSS offers support services to First Nations students who leave their home communities to pursue secondary school education. Support staff and student counsellors are located in Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout. KOSSS works with partners to provide students with a safe and successful learning experience. Core services include administering boarding homes, on-call student transportation and tuition agreements. KOSSS also coordinates programs to support student success and keeping a strong connection between students, their families and culture through video conference family visits, cultural and recreational programs and tutoring.

KOSSS - Well-Being Workers

Keewaytinook Okimakanak Secondary Student Services is looking to fill five (4) full-time Well-Being Worker positions from January 2017 to March 2019. This position will be based in: Pelican Falls (2), Dryden (1) and Sioux Lookout (1).

KOSSS - Seven Youth Inquest Coordinator Assistant

Keewaytinook Okimakanak Secondary Student Services is looking to hire one full-time Seven Youth Inquest Program Assistant that will be based in Thunder Bay. This position will begin in January 2018 with the possibility of extension past March 31. The Seven Youth Inquest Program Assistant would work with the Inquest Coordinator to provide administrative support.

KOSSS - Student Active/Wellness Worker (Thunder Bay)

Keewaytinook Okimakanak Secondary Student Services is looking to fill one Student Active/ Wellness Worker Position. The Student Active/Wellness Worker will work out of Thunder Bay, Ontario and will commence in November 2017. The grade 9-12 students are from our First Nation communities of Fort Severn, Keewaywin, Deer Lake, North Spirit Lake,Poplar Hill, and McDowell Lake.
